📚Teaching English in a local primary school
The experience
Hello! I'm excited to welcome you to come and volunteer as an English teacher in a local primary school, specifically for grades 7, 8, and 9, aged between 12 and 14 years. This is an extremely exciting position because the kids are friendly, respectful, and responsive to the teachers, and they love asking all sorts of English questions. During break times, which last about an hour, the kids would really love to play with you in the field.

Program Details
Our volunteer program is tailored to make our volunteers feel at home in the comments, in our house, and in the projects that they will be volunteering. We desire for them to immerse themselves in our Kenyan culture, food, and language, and teach us about their cultures too! We want them to have a lifetime experience during their stay with us! They will be staying in our house, and we'll have all meals together; in the morning, we'll drive them to the projects, and they'll work alongside Kenyan teams.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers will be working five days a week, five hours a day with a break in the middle. A day starts at 9 and ends at 2 in the afternoon and we drive back home. Activities will include teaching different subjects in public schools, painting and light construction in women empowerment projects, Orphanages, public health facilities and schools.
Rules
We don't encourage smoking inside the main house but a smoking area in our patio is allowed. We discourage volunteers from using public transport for their safety. We always encourage them to utilize our Van.
