Program Details

Our Manatee Conservation Project focuses on protecting and monitoring manatees through daily boat surveys, habitat observation, data collection, and environmental education.

Volunteers travel by boat to monitoring areas and observe manatees while collecting important information about their environment.

During the surveys, we may also encounter monkeys, birds, spiders, and other local wildlife. 🐒🦜

We record information such as:

• Manatee sightings.
• Tides.
• Water levels.
• Weather conditions.

These observations support our manatee conservation work and help volunteers better understand the importance of protecting these animals and their ecosystem.
