Program Details
We are based in Puerto del Rosario. The sailing boat is our home at the moment, and we don’t sail very often.
If everything flows well and the weather conditions are good, especially if it’s not too windy, we may also have the chance to go sailing ⛵️ and enjoy a short 2-hour trip at sea near Puerto del Rosario.
However, we can’t promise it, as it can sometimes be
* We are an international family living on a sailing boat in beautiful Fuerteventura, very close to the beach.
* I am from Poland and work as a psychologist. My partner is from Venezuela and works with water filtration systems.
* We have two young children, aged one and four. Our oldest goes to a small rural school.
* We are trying to live and parent in a conscious, peaceful and respectful way.
* At the same time, we are building our future modular home in a small village in Fuerteventura.
* We are looking for someone who would like to become part of our everyday family life and support us mainly with:
* childcare especially with other languages then spanish : )
* cooking
* light housework
* cleaning
* keeping our small space organised
* Life on a sailing boat is special and requires flexibility, respect for shared spaces, cleanliness and good organisation.
* We are looking for someone open-minded, peaceful, flexible, organised and comfortable with children, nature, the sea and simple family life.
* A driving licence would be very helpful, especially for taking our older son to and from his rural school.
* Practical or maintenance skills are also very welcome, especially while we are working on our modular house.
* Sailing or boat-maintenance experience would be a lovely bonus.
* At the moment, the boat is mainly our home, although we are open to sailing and sharing this adventure when possible.
Activities & Shift
We are looking for someone flexible with the daily schedule, as family life with two young children can change from day to day.
The main activities would include helping with the children, preparing simple meals, light housework, cleaning, organisation, and occasionally helping with school drop-off or pick-up.
We prefer to organise the schedule together, depending on the family’s needs and your plans. Flexibility is very important to us, but we also want you to have enough free time to enjoy Fuerteventura, the beach and the island or your other job.
Rules
We try to speak diffrent languages with our children cos we love it
Keeping shared spaces clean, tidy and organised is very important to us, especially because we live in a small space.
We try to choose calm communication instead of arguing, shouting or creating unnecessary conflict.
We value respect, honesty, kindness and peaceful coexistence.
We are also practising this ourselves as a family — it is not about being perfect, but about becoming more conscious of how we communicate and react.
One approach we really like is the emotional release method described by David R. Hawkins in Letting Go. If you are interested, we would be happy to share it with you.
We appreciate people who are open-minded, able to talk things through calmly and willing to contribute to a peaceful atmosphere at home.
Please, no smoking or drinking. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with a healthy, calm and peaceful lifestyle.
