My girlfriend and I spent two weeks teaching english while living in a local’s family homestay. They provided us local food which was very tasty and let us be part of their family by joining diners and doing activities with their children. The experience was so grateful, the kids are so kind and interested in learning so they collaborated during classes, which made it more fun. At first we felt a bit challenged because we had never taught English before but after the first day we felt so comfortable and very confident. We highly recommend you this experience!

It was my first volunteering and my first time teaching english and I had the best time! I stayed for 2 weeks in a family's homestay which was lovely, they were very welcoming and made me feel part of their family.
The classes were easy and fun, the kids are very sweet and interested in participating!! Mr Ahyak was always supportive and flexible. I would definitely recommend this experience :)

Such an incredible experience even if it was for a short time. Mr. Ahyad makes sure that you will be comfortable no matter your requirements. They truly and gladly show you their culture. Great karaoke nights and if you stay longer you might be invited to special ceremonies. Teaching is easy and you may have a teacher with you. They provide you with free rides to and from your teaching location. A great experience if you wish to meet great people, eat 3 local meals everyday and learn and laugh together.

I had a wonderful week teaching English in the village of Masbagik with the home. I believe that Mr Ahyak's organisation really has a big positive impact in the home and it was wonderful to be apart of. I learnt so much about the people, culture, food, music and landscape of the home during my brief stay- if I had more time I would have loved to extend! My hosts Mr Azis and Ms Vivi were so warm, generous, helpful and kind, I really felt like part of their family. I highly recommend this experience and am happy to answer any questions about it!

This was one of those pinch yourself experiences! I feel very lucky to have been immersed in this experience, and it's one I'll never forget! The whole community is so welcoming and is also very open to working with and learning from volunteers to implement new initiatives within the program to support education within the community. Weekends are free time, so I'd recommend arriving through the week so you have a chance to meet other volunteers ahead of a weekend so you can organise to do activities together. Also if you would like to stay with other volunteers make sure you request it.
