The workload at the hostel was easy and fair, and the food provided for volunteers was really good, so overall it was a great deal! Melanie, the manager, was also a good boss when an issue came up, she was able to handle the situation and take care of it. I really enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it!

I had a wonderful time in Tadoussac. It's a great mixture between social interacting and diving into nature. A piece of my heart will always stay here. The volunteers, the staff and (most of) the guests are amazing and super open-minded. The nature around is amazing and there are bars to go out at night (always busy). The other volunteers and I had bad encounters with in old man though, we didn't feel comfortable or safe around him. Our host had our back and told him to leave for a bit. All in all I'm super grateful for all the experience there and I would definitely go back!!

I have nothing but good things to say about this experience. The people were very nice, the work wasn't too hard, and the location was perfect. I stayed for a month, which was just the right amount of time to truly take in everything this unique place had to offer. I really hope that I can come back someday to visit.

I had a lovely time at the hostel. It was the perfect place to slow down. Tadoussac is a quiet and beautiful village and while there isn't loads to do, you can easily fill your time whale watching, swimming in the lake or going on small hikes. The work is simple and very fair and gives you plenty of free time. While the accommodation is very basic and can get pretty hot in the summer, for the amount of work and meals you get it is a good deal. The staff is very helpful and makes you feel very welcome. If you're in the Quebec area I recommend coming to volunteer at the hostel!

I had a great time at Auberge de Tadoussac, the people working at the hostel were very friendly and welcoming. The work was as advertised and left plenty of time to explore the village and relax, they even arrange free boat trips for you to see the whales. Tadoussac is definitely a bit isolated if you don't have a car, but the surrounding nature is gorgeous so I would totally recommend!

Had an amazing time, would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to meet new meaningful friendships. Also the area is beautiful including the beaches, lake and woodland . Also a fantastic spot to see whales . If you enjoy music too tadoussac is a hot spot for talented musicians.

The hostel. :) This is where I got my first volunteer opportunity. :) Everyone was nice and helpful. The tasks were easy. They were well explained and clear. I don't speak French, but I was able to fit in easily with my beginner English. The host Mélanie was very nice to me. Tadoussac is a beautiful place. I had a lot of time to hike outdoors. It was a great adventure to be there. :) I can recommend the place to others. :)

If you are in Canada, you definitely need to stop by the hostel and volunteer. It's amazing! It will feel like one big familly :) Everyone is very kind, helpful and respectful. They help you integrate very quickly, not just into the hostel-life but also into the community in Tadoussac. The tasks are easy to understand and meals are eaten together. Everyone is welcome! I had a great time here and am quite sad to leave... À bientôt!
