It was my first time on worldpackers world.
Vicky is very sweet, kind, adorable, affectionate and very smiling woman! I feld like I spend one month with my mom.
The communication evolved very good without speak spanish neither Vicky english, our everyday life was perfect and happy, the daily job was nice, easy and relaxing. My favorite part was the daily rutine with the animals.
I spent a wonderful month next to Vicky and her hostel!
I want to thank her that she opened her world, home and her family to me and make me a part of all of it without I felt loneliness far away from my home!!

No words are enough to describe what my time in Herradura and the the hostel was like. It was healing. I carry in my heart a lot of love shared with Vicky and Jorge. They make you feel part of the family. Vicky, the host, is an incredible woman. I learned a lot from her way of seeing and being in the world, her actions for others. A true teacher... of life. There is everything to do in the place, to beautify it as she would say. And for all tastes, adapted to what the volunteer from. But most importantly, you feel like doing to repay a little of all that she gives.

The Dreamcatcher hostel community knew how to accompany my process and I leave transformed, with more strength, with more desire to keep getting to know the world. Vicky: the leader of the tribe and the network she formed and continually weaves at her house…. She opens her family home to travelers/backpackers who are passing through and lends her home to her family and friends. So in my humble opinion, the job is to help her make the house function because it is a place of enjoyment, conversations and a hotbed of projects for many people.
It is going to be like your mom. She takes care of you, offers and nourishes you for sure. The bike is more or less working.
She is learning to work with volunteers and this new world of traveler exchanges.

It’s fascinating, she has an extraordinary life story and is very active and curious. She welcomes you as if you were part of the family, and her children will welcome you in the same way. The place is magnificent if you like nature and the tasks are multiple, according to your wishes and personal abilities. This encounter changed me on my trip and also as a person. Thanks to Vicky for everything! If you want to be in touch with nature in a beautiful village, and with the most beautiful person in the world, I recommend coming here. Vicky treats her volunteers as if they were her children, and she cooks incredibly well. For the work, there is a list of things to do and you can choose whatever you prefer. Vicky let me paint my art in her house and she is very open to new project proposals. Her daughters are unique and incredible women who share a lot. With them I had my first percussion class and my first football match, which I will never forget. Lots of kisses to all!
