How the Hostel Works 🌴
I run a small, relaxed hostel in Unawatuna and I’m looking for friendly volunteers to help with different parts of the hostel. The work is varied and depends on what is needed.
Volunteers can help with managing bookings and guest communication, keeping common areas clean and organized, gardening, and taking care of plants. If you are creative, you can also help with art, painting walls, decorating, and improving the hostel’s atmosphere.
You’ll work together with me in a friendly and flexible environment. I’m happy to share local knowledge and give you free time to enjoy the beaches, explore Unawatuna, and experience Sri Lankan culture.
The main thing I’m looking for is someone responsible, positive, and willing to help. 🌊🎨🌱

Shifts are flexible and usually around 3 to 4 hours per day, depending on the work and number of guests. We can arrange the schedule together so you have plenty of free time to enjoy Unawatuna, go to the beach, explore Sri Lanka, or join activities.

- Be respectful and friendly to guests, volunteers, and staff.
- Keep shared areas, kitchen, and your room clean and tidy.
- Please be responsible with hostel equipment and belongings.
- No loud noise or parties late at night.
