I had plenty of time to enjoy the island. Rafa is a great manager and a really nice person. I always felt welcome and received help when needed. As a volunteer, you can borrow surfboards and wetsuits and the beach is just 1min away. Rafa even tried to teach me how to surf. I would highly recommend this hostel. Thank you guys for such a nice time!

Everything was perfect. The place is nice and infront of the Ocean; in particular you have a surf spot at few meters from the hostel if you like surfing and you can take the boards and wetsuits. Rafael and his tram are really kind people, respectful of the person and of your time. Shifts are easy and flexible based on your needs, so that you have a lot of free time to explore the island.
In addition, when he had time, he helped me with the surf and gave me precious suggestions to improve.

Rafael, Anne and Gianna were very nice and he gave us private surf lessons whenever the volunteers wanted it. Work is not much, mostly cleaning and maybe 3 check-ins a day. The hostel is directly at Las Canteras :) But there are no fix, planned hostel activities every day like yoga, volleyball etc. like in bigger hostels. But you can connect very quick with other guests, the kitchen and living room decoration is amazing.

It was a good experience, the volunteers and staff were nice but the photos of the hostel need updating as some rooms have changed/don't exist. The hostel is still under renovation but I'm sure by summer or next year it will be great. There was also a bed bugs problem while I was there(which happens in hostels) but it did take quite a few complaints for the boss to take it seriously. Apart from that I really liked everyone and it's a great location, right next to beach. I also loved Leo so much 🐕.the work was easy and fair and I would definitely recommend it if you have done hostels before.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was such an amazing place to start! Rafael and Ana were super nice and really chill about the work we had to do, so we had a lot of free time to explore the island! the hostel was so nice and super close to the sea so I got to go surfing whenever. I especially liked the boulevard with plenty of places to eat/drink, clubs and the wonderful beach! The hostel is close to bus stops but it does take an hour/hour and a half to get to other must-see places on the island. I made some amazing memories, recommend!

I recently volunteered at the hostel and had an incredible experience. The hostel is cozy and perfectly located near the beach, with great surfing opportunities, Rafael, the owner, is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. The common areas are inviting, and there's easy access to transport, markets, and attractions. As a volunteer, I had time to explore and discover many hidden gems. The tasks were varied and required effort, but I learned a lot and made unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

I had a lovely time here! The volunteers and host are some of the sweetest people ever and the tasks are simple. I got to try surfing for the first time and the beach is so close! I feel rejuvenated after spending time at the hostel and I highly recommend it! My only regret is not spending more time here. I would love to come back one day <3
