The experience
Come and stay with our family of five on our lifestyle block in Te Horo, New Zealand! We got involved with cultural exchange because there are ALWAYS things we need help with here :) Most of the work is outside, so we need people who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. If it’s raining there is inside work to do.
We love to host people from abroad who are like-minded and who share their experiences of traveling the world with our family. We are thrilled to be able to open our home and our family to travelers, many of whom are from countries we have spent time in.
Do you want to stay longer? We now have a Tiny House option for your own space, self catered, warm, cosy, internet and less working hours. Photos available on our profile.
There is work to do around the property helping with things like gardening, clearing the section of unwanted trees, picking fruit and lots of other things which go into keeping a property of this nature. It is largely manual labour and there is no need for childcare support.
In exchange for 25 hours work a week you receive accommodation in our beautiful home (a large room that can either be setup as a King bed or two singles, complete with it's own ensuite). Food is provided for you to self cater breakfast, lunch is often left overs or Ronel will whip something up like home made soup or a quich. Dinner is prepared for you Monday to Thursday. Friday through Sunday we provide the food and you can prepare your own as we are often out and about with the kids and we find people are keen to get into Wellington and see the city. Feel free to take a packed lunch. We have wi-fi available throughout the house.
Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions - many thanks for reading. Hope to see you soon!!!
Cheers Ben, Ronel, Zac, Isa, Ella, Milo and Sugar :)"},
