Program Details

Welcome to our mansion in the Historic Center of Hidalgo del Parral, a Magical Town!

Our program combines heritage restoration, art, and community life. We are rescuing a colonial mansion from the 1800s to turn it into a cultural space and lodging.

HOW IT WORKS:
We work Monday to Friday, 4-5 hours in the morning (9am - 2pm). Afternoons and weekends are free to explore Parral, its mines, museums, and the mountains.

Rotating tasks according to your profile:
- Artistic painting: murals, restoration of moldings and the façade
- Building painting: interiors, courtyards, metalwork
- Gardening: create a central garden, herb garden, maintenance of desert plants
- Light maintenance and design support

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Techniques of traditional Mexican restoration (lime-wash painting, patching plaster), desert climate gardening, and management of a heritage project.

LIFE HERE:
You will live inside the mansion with other volunteers. We share meals, cook together (we include a basic pantry), host cultural exchange nights and tours of the historic center. We give you access to WiFi, a bike, and a local guide. The environment is calm, creative, and very family-oriented.

Ideal if you enjoy art, history, and leaving your mark in a Magical Town.
