Rules
At the moment, we can only host volunteers from Friday to Monday lunchtime. This is a temporary arrangement because my husband is currently renovating our daughter’s room upstairs. The Japanese-style room that will eventually become our guest room is currently being used to store furniture and other belongings, so it is not available yet. Once the renovation is finished, we hope to be able to host volunteers for longer stays of up to one month, and we will update our availability at that time.
Meals are not included as a daily arrangement. However, when possible, we are happy to share our meals with our volunteer. We simply cannot promise meals every day.
In return, we do not expect volunteers to spend a lot of time working for us. The main thing we hope for is that you will spend some time talking with Hikari in English and sharing your culture and experiences with her. She may be busy with school and activities during the week, so we will always respect your free time as well.
We also ask that volunteers keep their own room clean and tidy. There is no need to clean our shared spaces.
