Program Details
We are looking for volunteers who have a genuine passion for wildlife conservation and who truly connect with the mission of our sanctuary.
Your contribution goes beyond helping with daily sanctuary tasks. An important part of our work is raising awareness and supporting efforts to prevent the devastating and often fatal electrocutions of wildlife on power lines throughout Costa Rica.
Volunteer responsibilities may include:
‣ Creating and implementing enrichment ideas.
‣ Preparing food for the animals.
‣ Cleaning habitats.
‣ Scrubbing soiled blankets.
‣ Observing animal behavior.
‣ Preparing sleeping areas.
‣ Keeping the sanctuary grounds, facilities, and shared spaces clean and presentable.
‣ Helping with maintenance projects.
‣ Assisting with educational visits.
Please understand that direct contact with wildlife is limited. Our priority is the animals’ wellbeing and rehabilitation. If you are looking for a place where you can play with or cuddle monkeys, this volunteer experience will not be the right fit.
We are looking for people who want to contribute seriously to the daily work of the sanctuary and support our wider conservation mission. 🐾
