I had an amazing experience volunteering at ahahah the eco village, where I learned theoretical and practical basis of bamboo, thanks to a very interesting and hands-on workshop organized during my stay. People were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. They brought me into their culture and made me feel at home, like a family. Food was delicious (miss my banana break!), Angelo & the guys I shared my room were the perfect partners, quickly became like brothers. The location is incredible: everything is made with bamboo.
A deep unforgettable experience that I would definitely recommend.

The eco village is truly home away from home ❤️ This place is absolutely amazing: strong and transparent goals, friendly and motivated people, and a beautiful bamboo villa stay — I felt so close to nature and truly comfortable. Angelo is the most attentive manager, always caring and supportive! Good to know: you need to be proactive and independent, ready to choose and plan your own activities, and respect the local community and simple, nature-based lifestyle. If you're responsible and adaptable, this place helps you find yourself and grow. Thank you guys! — I can't wait to come back ❤️

I really enjoyed learning about how the eco village started and their advocacy for bamboo. How it's not just for basic construction, but a sustainable material that can support education, livelihood, and community growth. I also admire their commitment to making sure no one gets left behind. Seeing how they create job opportunities and meaningful exposure for the local/ethnic community made the whole experience even more impactful for me. Thank you, Gelo, Neil, Ate Tata, and the whole the eco village family for being caring and welcoming. Definitely worth the visit!! Hope to see you again!

This was my 1st EVER WorldPackers volunteer experience and I couldn't have picked a better opportunity. My stay was the shortest because I had last minute changes and they accompanied me no questions asked. The hosts were friendly, the people of The Matigsalug Tribe were so friendly and great! I planted giant bamboo (that I have to return to harvest in 7 years 😂) i can't recommend enough I learned so many lessons in my short time I also wasn't planning on it but they encouraged me and convinced me to make a video for my YouTube channel @MixonWithAustin that I'm proud to share. THANKS!

I had an amazing experience at the eco village! I stayed for a week, but it felt like only two days because time flew by so quickly. Angelo, our host, was absolutely perfect. He made sure we had everything we needed and cooked delicious Filipino food. The place is peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by nature. I helped to build a bamboo table with the locals, and everyone was so kind and welcoming. If you're looking for a wonderful experience and want to escape the busy city life, this is the perfect destination!

I had the best first volunteering experience at the eco village! I felt so welcomed by Angelo and the indigenous community. At first I bonded with the tribe while building a bamboo table for the children, then later they invited me to a personal celebration they had which was so sweet of them <3 I’m so so grateful! This experience gave me more emotions than I expected:) As the photography/social media volunteer, I created a creative guideline for the eco village's digital presence and did a photography project with the tribe. The schedule is flexible and Angelo encourages you to do what you love. Salamat po!!!!🫂

There are few places in this world that you rarely find yourself getting into real adventure, the eco village is something else. The rest you have to reveal it by yourself.

The time in the eco village was relly nice. We learn a lot about the Project of the eco village and also about bamboo. It was even better than we imagined. We worked together with some of the local workers on projects. It's a nice and calm place in the middle of the mountains. I can just recommend to go there and make your own experience.

I volunteered at the eco village through Worldpackers and stayed for 6 days. I honestly wished I could've stayed longer if I didn't have other travel plans. The experience was amazing—the mountain and forest views were beyond expectations, and the waterfalls were absolutely stunning. The accommodations are nestled between the mountains, perfect for anyone looking for peace and quiet. The food was delicious, the people were kind, and the work hours were super flexible. I truly enjoyed every moment there.

I had a wonderful time at the eco village, even though I had to cut my stay short due to some health issues. I'm truly grateful to Angelo for taking care of me. He's such a great host. My perspective on bamboo has changed, and the whole experience was eye-opening. The place is peaceful, beautiful, and quiet, so different from the hustle and noise of the city. I was able to immerse myself in the community, and although it was a bit challenging to adjust at first, the experience was incredibly grounding. the eco village humbles you. It makes you appreciate the simple things we often take for granted.
