Your role will be flexible and may include assisting guests during snorkeling and water activities, joining and supporting Maldives excursions and island trips, guiding guests and sharing your knowledge about local islands and marine life, and helping guests feel comfortable and supported throughout their activities. You may also have opportunities to create photos and videos of excursions and island experiences, work alongside our local excursion providers and tourism partners, explore different islands, and experience authentic local Maldivian life. Through this experience, you’ll gain practical knowledge of guest relations, tourism, excursions, hospitality, and travel operations while enjoying the beauty and culture of the Maldives.
As a volunteer with Secret Adventure Maldives, your activities will be flexible and may vary depending on guest bookings and excursion schedules. You may assist with snorkeling trips, island tours, sandbank visits, dolphin cruises, fishing trips, and other ocean activities. You’ll also help guests during excursions, support our local partners, and assist with creating photos and videos when needed.
Our volunteer schedule is flexible rather than a fixed 9-to-5 shift. The exact working hours may change depending on the day’s activities and guest requirements. We aim to give volunteers enough free time to explore the Maldives, enjoy island life, travel, and experience the local culture while contributing to our team.
As part of Secret Adventure Maldives, we expect our volunteers to be friendly, respectful, responsible, and positive. We want everyone to enjoy the experience while maintaining a professional attitude toward our guests, local community, and partners.
Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for agreed activities, communicate clearly with the team, follow safety instructions during excursions, and treat guests and local people with respect. Since you will be representing Secret Adventure Maldives, we also ask you to maintain a professional and welcoming attitude when interacting with guests and partners.
We encourage volunteers to take initiative, be flexible, help the team when needed, and keep shared spaces clean and organized. Any photos or videos created for the company should be discussed with the team before being used for business purposes. Most importantly, we expect volunteers to respect local culture, customs, privacy, the ocean, marine life, and the environment.
