As a Social & Activities Host at Hostel 197, your main role is to bring our guests together and create a fun, social atmosphere.
You will welcome new travelers, help them meet each other, organize social activities inside the hostel, and encourage guests to join tours and experiences around Zanzibar.
The goal is to make sure solo travelers feel included and that guests have opportunities to make friends and share experiences during their stay.
You will work closely with our hostel team and become part of the daily social life of Hostel 197.
Help organize and lead social activities such as:
• Group Talks and icebreaker games
• Beer Pong and other drinking/social games
• Pool and beach activities
• Sunset sessions
• Group dinners and social gatherings
• Quizzes and team games
• Other creative activities you would like to introduce
You will also help guests connect with each other and join our tours and experiences around Zanzibar.
The schedule will be organized according to the hostel's activity calendar and occupancy. The focus is on being present during key social moments, engaging with guests, and making activities happen rather than simply waiting for guests to approach you.
