Waves & Wifi is a coliving and coworking space in Popoyo, Nicaragua, with our on-site café, Kooks Cafe. We’re looking for someone who can bring their baking experience and passion for teaching to our local team.
You’ll spend your time baking alongside our team, helping prepare fresh bread, cookies, cakes, and other café treats, while sharing your knowledge and techniques with the local girls. You’ll also have the chance to practice your Spanish and learn more about life and food culture in Nicaragua.
In return, you’ll stay in our volunteer house, sharing a dorm with just one other volunteer, and be part of the Waves & Wifi community. You can join our events, surf trips, and other activities when available.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, hands-on, independent, and genuinely enjoys baking and teaching.
Around 25 hours per week, with 2 days off. You’ll usually work in the mornings, baking and preparing fresh bread, cookies, cakes, and other treats for Kooks Cafe. Afternoons are free to surf, relax by the pool, explore Popoyo, or hang out with the Waves & Wifi community.
The schedule can be flexible depending on the café’s needs and your baking projects.
