Our volunteer program is a cultural exchange experience in Cat Ba. Volunteers help with daily hostel operations while enjoying the island, meeting travelers from around the world, and sharing their own skills and culture. We welcome friendly, creative and responsible people who enjoy working with guests and creating a warm, social atmosphere. Depending on your interests, you can support reception, tours, events, guest activities and hostel entertainment.
Volunteers may help with day or night reception, welcoming and assisting guests, answering questions, supporting check-in and check-out, and helping guests with local information. Other activities include promoting and selling tours, organizing social events, games and activities, and creating a fun atmosphere for guests. Volunteers with skills in painting, DJing, music, photography, performing or hosting are especially welcome. Shifts and responsibilities will be arranged according to the volunteer's role and schedule.
Be friendly, responsible, respectful and proactive. Treat guests, other volunteers and staff with kindness and respect. Keep shared areas clean and organized, follow the agreed work schedule, and communicate clearly with the team. Volunteers are expected to provide good guest service and represent the hostel in a positive way. Please enjoy the experience, respect the local community and culture, and help create a safe, welcoming and fun environment for everyone.
