Program Details

This is a cultural exchange based around food, rural life and sharing traditions. I run a small organic winery in Roccalbegna, Tuscany, and I would love to welcome people from different countries who genuinely enjoy cooking and want to share the food of their culture with us.

The idea is to cook together, exchange recipes and traditions, and experiment with dishes that could occasionally become part of small informal gatherings around the winery. You don’t need to be a professional chef, but you should enjoy cooking and be comfortable preparing some typical dishes from your country.

This is not a restaurant job. The focus is on cultural exchange, creativity and spending time together while discovering each other’s food and way of life.

Activities & Shift

Around 18 hours per week, usually spread over 4 days, with 3 full days free. The schedule is flexible and we can arrange it together.

The main activity will be cooking and sharing food from your country and culture. We can choose recipes together, shop for ingredients, prepare dishes, exchange cooking techniques and enjoy the food together.

Sometimes we may organise a small informal gathering where you can introduce your cuisine and tell us something about the traditions behind the dishes. The focus is on sharing and experimenting together, rather than working regular kitchen or bar shifts.

Rules

I value independence, respect and good communication. You will have your own private camper and access to a kitchen, but meals are not included, so you should normally buy and prepare your own food. Of course, we will sometimes cook and eat together, especially as cooking is part of this cultural exchange.

Please keep the camper and shared spaces clean and respect the property and the people living here. If something is unclear or there is a problem, I prefer to talk about it openly and calmly.

The schedule is flexible and will always be agreed together. Your free time is your own.
