We warmly welcome volunteers from all over the world to join our community in Kilombero, Tanzania, and become part of a meaningful cultural and educational experience.

I am a teacher, and I work with children in our community school. We welcome volunteers who would like to share their skills, time, ideas, and experience while helping children and taking part in community activities.


What you offer

3 hours of help per day

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

We welcome volunteers from all over the world to join our community school in Kilombero, Tanzania. Our program gives you the opportunity to support children, experience local culture, and explore the beautiful nature of our area.

🤝 How the Volunteering Program Works

When you arrive, we will welcome you and introduce you to our school, teachers, children, and local community. We will explain the activities and help you understand how you can participate.

Volunteers normally spend part of their day helping with community and school activities. The exact activities can depend on your interests, skills, and the needs of the school.

You may help with:

📚 Teaching and education– supporting children with English, reading, mathematics, or other learning activities.

🌱 School garden – helping children water plants, grow vegetables, harvest produce, and learn about gardening and food production.

🎨 Children's activities – participating in educational games, creative activities, sports, music, and other activities that encourage children to learn and have fun.

🤝 Community activities – sharing your knowledge and skills and learning about our local way of life.

You don\'t need to be a professional teacher to participate. What is important is having respect for children, willingness to help, patience, and an open mind. We will guide you and work together with you during your stay.

Volunteering is also an opportunity to experience everyday life in Tanzania. You can meet local people, learn about our culture and traditions, enjoy local food, and make friendships with people from the community and other volunteers.

🌱 ACTIVITIES & VOLUNTEER SHIFTS

Our volunteering program is flexible and designed to give volunteers enough time to help the community while also enjoying their stay in Kilombero.

Volunteer activities may include:

📚 Education & Teaching

* Helping children practice English, reading, mathematics, and other subjects.
* Supporting teachers during classroom activities.
* Helping children with educational games and creative activities.

🌱 School Garden & Farming

* Watering vegetables and plants.
* Planting and harvesting vegetables.
* Teaching children simple gardening skills.
* Helping maintain the school garden.

⚽ Children's Activities

* Organizing sports and outdoor games.
* Drawing, singing, storytelling, and educational games.
* Supporting children\'s recreational activities.

🤝 Community & Cultural Exchange

* Sharing your skills and knowledge with the community.
* Learning about Tanzanian culture and daily life.
* Participating in community activities when available.

⏰ VOLUNTEER SHIFTS

Volunteers normally help during agreed working hours, with time available each day for rest and personal activities.

**Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM**

**Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM**

After volunteering, you are free to relax, explore Kilombero, meet local people, or arrange visits to nearby attractions such as **Mikumi National Park, Sanje Waterfalls, and the Udzungwa Mountains**.
