The home was wonderful and Katherine was a kind and gracious host. The property is gorgeous and the work is balanced & manageable. There even was opportunity for me to work extra hours, which I'm really appreciative of. It was really nice to be able to learn how to make pizza and then make it for our guests. And then being able to be the guest eating pizza as I was leaving. Katherine would never shy away from doing any task, even when she would go out of her way to help us when needed. Note: It *is* a good 30 minute walk to the closest bus stop but it's manageable & there's a bike. :-)

I had a good experience with Katherine and Alex. It was a great opportunity to learn new skills and practice my English in a real environment. The working hours were respected, and everything was organized. Tasks were given every morning, so it was easy to understand what needed to be done during the day. There is quite a lot of work, so be ready to stay active and busy, but it was a good and rewarding experience. I recommend them to people who want a positive Worldpackers experience.

I had a really great experience here. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and very welcoming. The people are also amazing and made me feel comfortable from the beginning.
Katherine is incredible and absolutely lovely. She is kind and so friendly.
The work is not difficult. Sometimes there is a lot to do, but the hours are always very well organized and fair. I truly enjoyed my time here and I would definitely recommend this experience to other volunteers.

I had very good time at Rye Island. Katherine is very sweet and tried her best to make me feel welcomed. The place is beautiful, very peaceful. There is always something to do in the home, Katherine likes new ideas and it's always open with flexibility and easy to talk to. It was a great time in Wonderland Sussex! It was our first time volunteering in this country, and it was a good choice! We stayed in the annex, which had a private bedroom. We shared the place with another person who was also volunteering here. We had a kitchen with everything we needed to cook, and we also had an allowance to buy food. Kath, Alex, Dilly and Sherlock were triendly and welcoming. We were about a 30-minute walk from the town.
Our main tasks were painting, gardening, some cleaning, repairing and help with the fire in the SPA area.
We stayed for two month and loved the nature.
