Program Details
You learn from us and we learn from you and that helps the garden flourish.. We mostly have to do maintenance for instance making compost (seven different sorts), sowing, planting, pruning, loosening the very heavy clay soil with a broad fork, applying compost and mulch and selfmade amendments, simple carpentry, irrigation maintenance and so on. Not all at once🤭
Activities & Shift
We work together for three hours a day on 5 weekdays
Rules
You need to read, understand and sign our volunteer agreement. Volunteers understand that there are certain hazards or potential for accidents on a farm and agree to abide by all safety rules set forth in the document, as well as any instructions by staff or management.
If a volunteer has any previously existing medical conditions, food or drug allergies, or is on prescription medication, he/she should list it on the attached signature page.
All volunteers are responsible for their own medical insurance and health care.
Volunteers work three hours a day for five days or 15 hours a week. The schedule for the week will be agreed every Monday.
Food: The volunteer has to cater for him/herself.
A washing machine is available. Biodegradable washing liquid must be used. Please consider water use when washing and check with us. Only wash if you have a machine full. The washing machine cannot be used at times of water scarcity.
Bins are clearly marked in the kitchen. Please deposit recycling material and waste in the appropriate bin.
The volunteer knows that he/she can use only biodegradable soaps, cleaning agents, shampoo etc. when using the sinks, shower or WC..
The last day of your stay you have to clean the house. That counts as work. Thank you.
I don’t plant or use illegal drugs in the finca.
