Activities & Shift

Volunteers will have a simple, flexible, and meaningful daily routine. Their activities will focus mainly on supporting children, education, gardening, and community activities.

Morning:
Volunteers will have breakfast and then go to the school. They may help teachers with English, Mathematics, reading, games, sports, or other learning activities. They will also have time to interact with children and encourage them in their studies.

Late Morning:
Volunteers may participate in the school garden by planting, watering, weeding, harvesting vegetables, and teaching children basic gardening skills. These activities help children learn about food production, healthy eating, and environmental care.

Afternoon:
After lunch and some rest, volunteers may continue with educational activities, sports, creative activities, games, or social interaction with the children. They can also work together with teachers on community or school improvement activities.

Evening:
Volunteers will have free time to relax, talk with the host family and other volunteers, learn Kiswahili, share their culture, or explore the local community.

Weekends:
Weekends are generally more flexible and can be used for cultural experiences and exploring the Kilombero area. Volunteers may have opportunities to visit Mikumi National Park and Sanje Waterfalls, depending on arrangements.

The schedule is flexible, and we encourage volunteers to share their own skills and ideas. Our aim is for every volunteer to have a balanced experience of helping, learning, cultural exchange, and enjoying Tanzania.
