Program Details

We are a private little farm, non-commercial, we just love animals and want to give them a long and happy live. Step by step we are making the property better and nicer, doing most things ourselves.
We also live on the farm, but we will not share a house; You will stay in an old/basic farmhouse (2-bedrooms), maximum shared with 1 other volunteer.
We ask 8-hours help and please note - there is NO food included.

You'll have plenty of time to explore the surroundings or other parts of Holland - I'm happy to assist you with your trips.

You’re welcome to borrow one of our volunteer bikes during your stay. They’re older, but perfectly fine for a little exploring of the nearby area or for getting to the supermarket or train station.
We don’t maintain these bikes, so we kindly ask you to take care of small repairs yourself (for example, fixing a flat tire).

We are located in a very beautiful and quiet place. In rural/nature environment.
If you like to work physically and outdoors, live in nature and have animals around you, this might be the perfect place for you!

Activities & Shift

Some daily tasks like cleaning the horses place, and fill their water and hay.
Other tasks are around the property, almost different every week.

About the tasks and working style:
There’s always a mix of smaller and bigger tasks here, and many of them will need my explanations, and I’ll need to provide you with the tools required for the tasks.
For me, it’s a matter of checking weekly what the priorities are and deciding which tasks I can pass on to a volunteer.
My working and communication style is practical and straightforward — focused on getting things done, with the right balance between speed and detail depending on what the task needs.

This position is mainly for the daily animal care, which you will do independently.
If there are other/maintenance tasks then sometimes we work side by side, but a lot of tasks you’ll handle on your own.
If you ever need help — whether it’s with a task, planning your trips, or just thinking things through — I’m here to support you.

You’re always welcome to ask questions whenever something isn’t clear.
I won’t check in with you constantly, because I trust people to manage their responsibilities independently.
Most individual tasks can be done whenever it fits your schedule, as long as you can commit to 8 hours per week.

If you enjoy clear communication, a hands‑on mindset, and a relaxed, down‑to‑earth atmosphere, you’ll fit right in.
