Program Details
This is mainly a language and cultural exchange rather than a work-focused program. I’d like to welcome travelers who are genuinely interested in Chinese culture and everyday life. We can practise English and Mandarin, share stories about our countries, cook together and explore the local area.
I hope the experience feels relaxed and friendly. You’ll have your own private bedroom and plenty of personal time. I have two friendly dogs, so please make sure you are comfortable living with dogs.
Activities & Shift
Activities are light and flexible. We can practise English and Mandarin, cook and share meals together, and sometimes help each other keep the shared spaces tidy. I may also appreciate a little help with my two dogs from time to time. I’d really enjoy hearing about your culture, travels and everyday life too. There’s no heavy work, and we can arrange things together depending on our schedules, so you’ll still have plenty of free time to explore on your own.
Rules
I value mutual respect, privacy and good communication. Please keep shared spaces clean and tidy and treat the home with care.
Please let me know in advance if you plan to come home very late or stay elsewhere overnight. No unannounced guests in the home.
As I have two dogs, please always treat them kindly and follow any instructions about their care and safety.
If either of us feels uncomfortable or has a problem, I prefer that we talk openly and respectfully. The most important thing is that both host and traveler feel safe and comfortable.
