What an amazing volunteering it was! I easily could have stayed longer than just the 5 weeks. The shifts were easy and flexible and the team I worked with was always friendly and up to do something in our free time. I can say that I made good friends with the people there and would even consider to come back one day to this place! São the hostel is a nice little town with a vast variety of beaches nearby. The big park next door to the hostel is also a great place to calm down after work. Thank you Adri, Fer, Majo, Wander, Mari, Maia & Anna for our time together! All the best, Max :)

My volunteering experience at the hostel was great! What was supposed to be 2 weeks turned into almost 2 months. Schedules and tasks were always respected. Thanks to everyone for the partnership, especially my volunteering partners: Laís, Thiago and Jaqueline ❤️ I also thank the freelance forró crew and the staff: Ana Luisa, Ana Paula, Wellington (Tontonzinho) and Jonathan (Jhowjhow, my evil favorite kkk). I was warmly welcomed by everyone, in a light, calm environment with simple and well-conducted tasks, which made the experience even more enjoyable. That was my first volunteering experience and I loved it. I was very well received by the manager and the staff of the Hostel. The facilities are very good, the accommodations are quite comfortable. The work is quite calm with a light workload. I had a great experience with the volunteers who were already there and we ended up creating a beautiful bond. The location is excellent, right in the historic center of São Sebastião, and you can also bike around the city and visit some beaches in the city or in Ilhabela, since the Hostel is close to the ferry.

It was my first volunteering experience in Brazil, I would recommend it for solo travel or as a first volunteering experience; the tasks are simple, the hostel is very comfortable and the staff welcome you very well. Although São Sebastião is very quiet, it has beautiful beaches.

My experience at Central was very positive. The schedules and tasks were well defined, which helped a lot with organizing daily life. The available bicycles made everything even more practical and enjoyable, and the Saturday forró dances were always very special moments. The manager Ana Luísa was extremely helpful, patient, and communicative throughout the entire experience.

Volunteering at the hostel was incredible. I developed skills, met new people and explored new places. The team is very attentive; I felt welcomed by everyone who was always willing to help with information and tips. The location is perfect, close to everything, and the bikes are great for a ride. Just as a point to be considered, the restriction on using the kitchen starting at 5 p.m. is something that requires double organization for those who fulfilled their volunteer schedule and then need to work, so planning dinner is quite hectic. All in all, I thank everyone for the reception.
