I had a really nice experience volunteering with Hamza and Youssef the hostel.
I loved spending time there, enjoying the peaceful Moroccan the hostel, slowing down and really immersing myself in the local culture.
They even took me to the desert, which was an amazing experience.
The work was very manageable and we also had the chance to create some really nice videos together.
Hamza, Youssef and everyone around them were incredibly kind, welcoming and ready to help whenever I needed anything.
I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone looking for something authentic, peaceful & local !

I was welcomed by Mobarek and Mohammed so warmly upon my arrival. I was given a room that I had privately my entire stay. The tasks were VERY easy and I honestly wish i could have done more work. There was plentiful downtime. The perfect place to wind down. I stayed 11 full days. I would recommend doing about a week if you don't have a friend or partner with you, like I did not. While I didn't get a chance to meet Hamza, I met so many other friends and family members. All amazing. I had the privilege of participating in Eid al-Adha with Mobarek and his family during my stay. Thank you so much

We stayed 11 days and loved getting off the tourist trail, and slowing down to experience life in the desert, this exceeded our expectations! Hamza was a fantastic host, kind, welcoming and great to chat with, and both he and Mehdi spoke solid English and helped us learn some Arabic. The beds were comfortable, food was plentiful, and sharing Iftar together during Ramadan was special. Work was light, and included making mud bricks, helping in the veggie garden and kitchen. Evenings were spent playing cards together and sharing music. Thank you Hamza, Mobarak and Mehdi for an awesome stay.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I loved it so much! I had the best week making new friends, learning about the hostel and its culture, trying new food, learning languages. The work was fun and I spent the rest of the days hanging out with the animals, talking, playing cards, or going on walks. Everyone I met was kind and welcoming. I can't recommend Dar Nomad enough and I can't wait to go back!!

I can't really say anything about my stay at Hamza's place- when I arrived he was away so I ended up staying in another place wih his cousin, which was okay, the work was physical (mostly moving dirt around or cleaning animal excrements) but never longer than 3 or 4 hours. I felt welcomed, but sometimes a bit lost, mainly bc of the language differences I think. Anyways thank you!

Dar Nomad is in a beautiful setting about a 30 mins walk out of the village.
Our accommodation was good, but maybe not in the conditions showed in the pictures 😊.
The work was easy, however we expected we would be working along with the host, instead of doing tasks by over selves.
We shared the cooking so we learned how to cook delicious tagine 😀

I can't really put this experience in words, but I had for sure one of the greatest, chilliest, calmest weeks in my life. I also meet the purest souls there and got to learn so much about life in general. If you need a time out of life and get some new impressions of a different culture and a different life, come to this place. Bring a good book or just your thoughts and enjoy. I learned some darija, can cook tagine now and found out about the best biscuits ever. But to be honest the people made it the most special for me and will stay in my heart forever. Thanks a lot !

This experience with Hamza was truly one of a kind. He was super welcoming and hospitable, and I learned so much about Moroccan culture because of him. He was very communicative, and I was rarely not informed about what was happening next. I appreciate all he has done for me, and I look forward to coming back in the future. I highly recommend staying at Dar Nomad to anyone looking to experience an authentic Moroccan the hostel.

I had a good time during my 8-day stay at Dar Nomad. The experience gave me an authentic insight into the simple Moroccan way of life. I helped by making mud bricks, feeding animals, and assisting Fatima in the kitchen. The work was not too difficult and felt very self-motivated. The people were incredibly kind and always made an effort to make me feel welcome. However, it's important to note that costs for water, tuk-tuk rides, and excursions are extra. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and i recommend this project for everyone looking for a genuine cultural experience.

That was a great experience for my first volunteer! The hosts were respectful of working hours and days off, work wasn't difficult as everyone worked together and the food was healthy and delicious! Everything was very simple but very beautiful. A friendly atmosphere with a lots of happiness! I loved the most the visit to the desert, which is optional if you want to go and costs 100€, was great to learn about the hostel culture! It's good to know that you need to pay for your clean water and taxi. The bathroom and shower are old-fashioned haha so go prepared! Thanks to all it was amazing!
