Program Details

At Casa Nido we seek proactive volunteers with a good command of Spanish and a warm attitude to support reception and genuinely connect with our guests. We believe in close hospitality (the 'Te Veo' concept), where every traveler feels welcomed as if they were at home.

You will work 3 to 5 days per week in rotating shifts of 5 to 6 hours (maximum 25 hours per week, always respecting your days and free time to enjoy the coast).

Your space and amenities:
° Single bed in a shared room with air conditioning and an assigned locker.
° Use of the common kitchen and panoramic terrace with views of Zicatela and La Punta, equipped with high-speed satellite internet ideal for working or resting.
° Excellent location in the center of Puerto Escondido: just steps from Mercado Benito Juárez with dozens of accessible and delicious options to eat, and laundries around the corner with affordable prices.

Activities & Shift

Your main functions will be focused on the guest experience and the smooth flow of the house:

° Reception and Welcome: Conduct check-ins and check-outs, register guests in our system, provide a warm welcome (offering a glass of water) and guide them about the property and city recommendations.
° Attention and Communication: Answer basic questions from guests and assist in coordinating scheduled arrivals.
° Community and Integration: Foster a good atmosphere in common areas and propose simple activities to share (sunset talks on the rooftop, pancake mornings, outings to nearby beaches).
° Space Care: Keep the reception neat and organized with calm music during your shift, ensuring that the payment and assistance devices remain charged.

Rules

To ensure a harmonious and respectful coexistence within our community:

° Commitment and Coexistence: Fulfill your shifts with punctuality, responsibility and a good attitude. We value empathy and teamwork.
° Shared Order and Cleanliness: Keep your bed and belongings in order in the shared dorm, as well as helping to keep utensils and areas of the kitchen and terrace clean after using them.
° Respect for Rest: Maintain a tranquil environment and quiet hours at night so as not to interrupt guests' or colleagues' rest.
° Guests and Facilities: Exclusive use of the rest areas for staff/registered guests. Smoking is not allowed inside bedrooms or enclosed areas of the house.
° Stay: Minimum commitment of 4 weeks, with a first week of induction and mutual adaptation.
