If you are looking for a cultural exchange and to experience daily life with an Italian family, this may not be the right place. The family has their own routines, and there isn’t much interaction beyond the work. The arrangement is mainly task-based, and once you finish, you are free to do your own thing. Getting to nearby towns isn’t always easy or quick, especially if you depend on public transport. There are no bikes and the washing machine was broken during my stay

I had a lovely time at BB the guest house! Isabella and her family were very kind, at it was a beautiful house to stay in ☺️ Isabella is a hardworking woman who cares deeply about the guest house. I truly admire and respect that, however, this sometimes resulted in a lack of communication. But overall, I would definitely recommend this experience!😁 Thank you Isabella, Margherita and Nick for a nice stay! 🌺

I liked Carmignano.It's easy to get to city's near by.I loved the House of the guest house and garden with that great view over Florence.The work itself was totally fine for me.We did breakfast and cleaned.I just didn't feel welcomed so much and interest in me.I felt often more like aburden and a cheap worker than a guest that is appreciated by doing them a favour or that they were sometimes mad at me for things I couldn't know or weren't my fault.On my 2.workday they told me to leave 2 weeks earlier than agreed because they accepted more people than they wanted to host and I had to deal with that

I had a wonderful experience volunteering here. From the start I felt welcomed and comfortable. Isabella was always very kind, patient, and attentive, creating a pleasant and close atmosphere.
I left with a lovely learning experience and very nice memories. I would totally recommend it.
