Program Details

Welcome to Taller Kaolin, a ceramics, art and hospitality project located in Diaguitas in the heart of the Elqui Valley, Chile.
We are a diverse, inclusive and respectful space, where creativity, nature, our animals and daily life come together. We love sharing this place with curious, sensitive people who are open to experiencing an authentic cultural and creative exchange. We are looking for a responsible, autonomous person who enjoys cooking, sharing their knowledge and collaborating with care in the upkeep of our spaces. We value initiative, good communication, respect for each person’s rhythms, and the desire to participate in a kind and enriching coexistence.
We offer accommodation and we cover groceries during the stay. We propose an exchange of 25 hours per week, distributed over five days, with two days off to rest, explore and enjoy the surroundings.
This can be an opportunity to step out of routine, connect with nature, learn about life in the Elqui Valley and approach the world of ceramics from a daily and creative perspective. We want you to be able to share your skills, learn from our culture and be part of a project built with dedication, sensitivity and much love.
If you are excited about the idea of living a calm, collaborative and meaningful experience, we would love to meet you and discover what we could create together.

Activities & Shift

Activities are organized in five-hour daily sessions, five days a week, with two days off.

The main tasks are:

- Cooking: planning and preparing varied lunches (ideally vegetarian), balanced and creative. We love discovering recipes from other countries.
- Home: support with cleaning, tidying and organizing the common spaces.
- Accommodations: support in preparation, cleaning and organization of rooms between stays.
- Garden: watering, care of plants, basic maintenance and cleaning of outdoor spaces.
- Taller Kaolin: support in order, cleaning and general organization of the creative space.

Activities will be distributed according to the needs of each day, always respecting the agreed hours, and we do not expect that all tasks will be carried out daily. We especially value initiative, good organization, and the ability to work autonomously.

Rules

Smoking is not allowed inside enclosed spaces, nor external visits. And zero tolerance for drugs and anything that disrupts order and tranquility.

The schedules, tasks and days off will be agreed before starting. We expect a friendly, collaborative living arrangement with respect for spaces and personal times.
