This is a long-term cat-sitting opportunity in my peaceful countryside home near Niš, Serbia. I'm looking for a responsible animal lover who can stay in the house and take care of my five cats while I'm away.
The cats are a little family. Two are their parents, two are their son and daughter, and the fifth is a rescued cat who became part of the family. They are adult cats, accustomed to living both indoors and outdoors, and they are independent and affectionate.
You'll have the entire house at your disposal, including a fully equipped kitchen, heating and free laundry. There is no rent or payment for household utilities.
This opportunity is ideal for a solo traveler or a couple looking for a peaceful, longer stay in nature. Stays of one to three months are welcome, depending on availability.
The main purpose of this arrangement is to ensure that the cats are safe, fed and cared for while I'm away. There are no gardening, renovation or other volunteer projects involved.
There are no fixed work shifts. The daily responsibility is simply to care for the five cats.
Morning:
Feed all five cats and check that everyone is around and doing well.
Evening:
Feed them again and make sure all five cats are accounted for.
Occasionally:
Change or wash the bedding and mats where the cats like to rest, as needed. Keep their feeding area reasonably clean and make sure they have fresh water.
The cats are independent and used to their surroundings. They don't need constant supervision, and you are free to organize your days, explore the area or work remotely. However, their morning and evening care must be provided every day, including weekends.
