My experience at thisthethe the hostelwas amazing. I never felt like I was really working, and I had plenty of time to enjoy the experience and meet new people. My only suggestion is to have a more structured schedule, as it was sometimes unclear when shifts started or ended. This volunteer role is best for people who enjoy socializing, promotingthethe the hostelevents, and joining dinners or nights out. I'm very grateful to Ihan for being so flexible and for letting me choose my days off and activities throughout my stay.

While it originally was planned to be a 2-week stay, I ended up staying longer. Tasks were well distributed across advertised roles—starting with social hosting, while also helping with reception work. Hours weren't really discussed; instead, you can arrange mostly your own schedule, and the work is never too much. There's lots of free time to explore, making it easy to get to know people. If you do social hosting, just remember to take some time for yourself. Gihan is a considerate host, always making sure you feel welcome and comfortable. Plenty of stuff included—great overall experience :)

I had a great time teaching yoga atthethethe hostel. Gihan and all the staff are amazing, and thethethe the hostelvibe is incredible. I enjoyed my time hiking around and having fun with the guests. I stayed at a shared dorm, good accommodation and delicious food. I offered yoga classes everyday, however sometimes guests are not signing for that. I definitely recommend this place to another volunteers and hope to come back soon :)

We've just finished 2 and a half weeks volunteering atthethethe the hostelwith Gihan and his wonderful team. I can honestly say we've made memories that will last forever, Gihan is one of the kindest, funniest people I've ever met and I feel like I've made a friend for life. Our roles included checking guests in and out, answering queries the guests may have, but mainly our role was to organise day trips and social events for the evenings and getting people involved. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I'm sure we will be back in the future, would definitely recommend to anybody! Thank you!!

Our two weeks spent atthethethe the hostelwith Gihan and the rest of his team were truly some of the most fun we've ever had. Gihan is kind, generous and goes above and beyond to make sure that guests, volunteers and staff are happy and appreciated. We supported with day to day tasks including checks ins/outs, but the work is mainly centred around socialising and organising activities in the evenings forthethe the hostelguests, which we really enjoyed. Thethethe the hostelis super clean and the dorm we stayed in was fab with good AC! We would recommend thisthethe the hosteland host to anyone 😊 and can't wait to be back!

I volenteered atthethethe the hostelfor 3 weeks with my girlfriend Lea. In this 3 weeks we had a blast. Gihan and his crew are really welcoming people and we felt as part of thethe hostel Family very fast. If your think about volunteering at thethethethe the hosteldefinitely do it. The workload was more than manageable and fun, because you can plan group activities like waterfall tours, hikes etc. and also join them. One highlight was definitely the Family Dinner, were Ghian and his crew cook some traditional Srilankan Dishes for you to try. We really enjoyed our stay there, and already miss thethe hostel Family.

The hostelis a great volunteering place and probably the bestthethe the hostelinthe hostel. 😇 I had an incredible time. The staff is really friendly and the host Gihan is super sweet. I was truely amazed by all the incredible guest who came during my stay. I felt so inspired and part of the group since day one. This is also very easy since they offer a lot of social activities like family dinners and waterfall hikes. :) Big recommendation!
