My experience at this hostel was truly fantastic! I spent 15 days volunteering here, and from the very beginning I felt welcomed, supported, and part of the team. The atmosphere is amazing, the hostel is beautiful, and the location is perfect for enjoying Guatapé and meeting travelers from all over the world. These 15 days gave me wonderful memories, new friendships, and experiences that I will definitely carry with me. I highly recommend this place to anyone 💛

From the first moment I talked with them to arrange an interview to the last minutes before leaving they made me feel as welcomed as possible, the whole staff is full of great people, the other volunteers were super kind as well, the food was amazing, the schedule was fair for both me and for them, there were days of hard work but you could unwind in the beautiful lake or doing some great activities, there are so many things for you to do as a volunteer. A special thanks to management for all the efforts to make everything as smooth as posible, and to the staff for making those 2 weeks great

The Guatapé hostel has been by far one of the prettiest places I've volunteered at ✨ a beautiful place surrounded by nature, an excellent environment, delicious food, a warm and friendly staff, and national and international travelers always willing to live and enjoy memorable days. Juliana is an incredible leader who makes you feel guided and comfortable at all times 💛🇨🇴 in short, the hostel will feel like your home for as long as you decide to stay 🥰

I totally recommend this experience to other volunteers. Juliana is a very kind host, always willing to help and attentive to the needs of the volunteers. In addition, she was very clear in explaining the activities and the established schedules were respected, which allowed for good organization throughout the stay. The food is delicious and the hostel is beautiful, with excellent facilities and incredible views. One of my main goals was to improve my English level, and I was able to interact with guests from different nationalities and practice the language constantly.

It's totally worth it, because the benefits that the volunteer gains are much greater than the work offered! The Guatapé hostel is a wonderful place, on the shores of the Embalse, full of history and unparalleled nature. The facilities are comfortable, safe, and you can connect with amazing people; there are many activities to do, delicious meals and drinks.
Unfortunately, in my experience I had complications related to assertive communication on the part of the hosts, which led to: unexpected activities, undefined schedules, uncertainty about daily activities, and confusion about the overall experience.

Cuando llegue al hostel me informaron que no podía hacer el voluntariado en la posición que habíamos acordado y me pusieron en otro cargo. Para mí más complicado que el acordado. Realizar las actividades para los huéspedes en las cuales me dejaron sola, solo con una breve explicación de lo que tenía que realizar. Estuve sola excepto en dos ocasiones. Me sentía muy perdida. A la semana hablé con la host y le dije que no me sentía cómoda y si había posibilidad de cambiar de puesto. No pudo ser, por lo que finalmente decidimos que terminaría mi voluntariado antes de lo acordado.
