Activities & Shift
Daily Activities Checklist
Morning Work Block (08:00 - 13:00):
• Review and inspection: A short meeting at the start of the day to review the state of the facilities, prioritize pending repairs and prepare the necessary tools.
• Preventive maintenance: Assist in the care, deep cleaning and embellishment of common areas, gardens, terraces or shared zones of the project.
• Repairs and physical plant: Actively assist in minor tasks of painting, masonry, plumbing, basic electricity or carpentry, according to the day’s operational needs.
• Tool care: Clean, organize and properly store all materials and work tools in the workshop at the end of the shift.
Afternoons Free:
• The collaboration block is focused in the morning. Afternoons are completely free to rest, plan your personal activities or go out to explore the region.
⏰ Shift Description
• Schedule: We collaborate in a continuous block of 5 hours in the morning, from Monday to Friday (25 hours per week in total).
• Free days: You will have 2 full days off per week (usually weekends) to rest and travel.
• Flexibility and weather: If any exterior repair is affected by weather conditions, we will coordinate together to reschedule the task or relocate it under shelter by mutual agreement.
Rules
Additional project rules
• Safety first: It is mandatory to use personal protective equipment (glasses, gloves, suitable footwear) depending on the maintenance task being performed. If you don’t know how to use a tool, always ask before operating.
• Care and order of the workshop: The tools and materials are very valuable to our project. At the end of each shift, the workshop must be perfectly clean, organized and locked. Tools that are used are cleaned and stored in their place.
• Responsible use of resources: We work under a sustainability approach. We avoid waste of paint, water, construction materials and electrical energy. Report immediately any leak or major damage you find in the facilities.
• Clean common areas: Although your main job is the physical plant, living together depends on everyone. Each volunteer is responsible for washing what you dirty in the kitchen and keeping your resting space tidy.
• Environment free of excesses: It is not allowed to work under the effects of alcohol or psychoactive substances, as we operate tools that require maximum concentration. We seek to maintain a healthy, calm and safe environment for the whole team.
• Respect for rest: We maintain quiet hours starting at [10:00 PM / 11:00 PM] to ensure the rest of everyone who collaborates in the project.
