I have had some of the most memorable experiences of my life here. The energy of the people who work here is palpable in the best of ways. There is a strong commitment to the neighboorhood and preserving the hostel heritage of La Candelaria - as demonstrated through the various events hosted many times a week at the bar inside the hostel. While I was here, at least, this hostel attracted some of the very best and shining examples of volunteers, guests, and patrons - many of whom will be in my heart and memories forever. I had a great time at the hostel. I only volunteered for 2 weeks but me and the other volunteers quickly became a fun team. The working hours are like agreed upon three shifts a week. Mostly nightshifts but also activity shifts. Reception Nightshifts are calm. Not a lot of tasks, the hardest ist to stay awake. Overall good experience. Also, the location is amazing. It is located as central as you can get which helps a lot with actually seeing parts of Bogotá.
