We are looking for artistic, imaginative and enthusiastic working holiday travellers to help bring colour, character and creativity to our beautiful beachside guesthouse.
This is a wonderful opportunity for artists and creative people who want to express themselves, work
6 hours of help per day
Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.
Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.
Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
3 days off per week
Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.
Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.
Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely
Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely
Intermediate English or Intermediate Japanese
Between 25 and 75 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
This is an active, hands-on volunteer position, generally involving 6 hours of work per day, four days per week. The focus is on creative projects and artistic improvements around the property and village you may also participate in village volunteer cleaning

🏖️ Life in Kanzaki
Kanzaki is an enchanting little seaside village in the Maizuru area of Kyoto Prefecture. Our guesthouse is located directly in front of the beach, so you can enjoy the ocean, fresh sea air and beautiful coastal scenery every day.
Imagine spending your days creating art, painting and decorating, then relaxing beside the ocean when your work is finished.
There is a train station right in the village, making it possible to explore the surrounding area and enjoy sightseeing on your days off.
This is an opportunity to experience a quieter, more traditional side of Japan, away from the crowds of the big cities. You can meet local people, discover Japanese culture, and leave your own creative mark on a special seaside community.

What You’ll Be Doing
This position is ideal for people who enjoy art, painting, decorating, and transforming spaces through creativity.
Depending on your interests and skills, projects may include:
Painting artistic murals and decorative features.
Creating original artwork to brighten up the guesthouse.
Painting walls, furniture, and other surfaces with creative designs.
Decorating guest rooms and common areas to make them more attractive and welcoming.
Developing artistic ideas inspired by the ocean, nature, Japanese culture, and village life.
Creating unique decorations and adding personality to our beachside property.
Helping with general tidying and occasional guesthouse cleaning when needed.
