Staying with Freddy and his family was an absolute dream. Freddy is so knowledgeable and passionate about the local flora and fauna, it truly made the few days I was able to spend with him feel incredibly educational. Likewise, his wife, always prepared the most delicious, filling meals that I am still thinking about. Huge thank you to the both of them for welcoming myself and the group to their little slice of paradise.

I dont usually write reviews, so im not good at it. But this trip was very informative and fun! I learned a lot about sea turtles and about the bugs and monkeys. It was fun meeting new people and the hosts were absolutely fantastic. Everyone was friendly and kind, the place was really nice and I loved hearing the roosters and chickens and the many birds. The place was beautiful and the boat rides were really fun. The whole experience was fantastic and meeting other people who loved bugs and animals gave me insight in what I want to do in my life.

This was such a wonderful experience, and I really enjoyed getting to connect with nature and all of the people involved in the project. Emma and Freddy are so kind and knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. The food was also amazing!
Being fully immersed in the rainforest was so special, and we got to see lots of different species of animals (monkeys, birds, insects, a sloth, etc). I also loved getting to help out with the forest restoration. 10/10 experience and I wish I could come back already!

What an incredible experience ! We were able to see so much biodiversity- from the plants, reptiles, amphibians, monkeys, down to the insects, there were so many creatures to observe. The people are absolutely wonderful, and the culture of Costa Rica is admirable and inspiring. The food was delicious, and it was cool to see some more traditional meals made with fresh ingredients, such as fresh coconut and coconut milk. Thank you to each and every one of the hosts and volunteers- they are such a great group of people. The experience has been close to spiritual for me!! (future biologist)

The host family and coordinator were very lovely and every home cooked meal was amazing even as a vegetarian!!! The experience was very flexible while still providing lots of time to ourselves to unwind! Especially as our group had a special interest in bugs they gave us time to explore the local wildlife. Was a lovely trip!!

My time in Costa Rica was honestly an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the moment I arrived, it felt like I was on a journey of constantly learning, experiencing new things and being completely immersed in nature.
The experience gave me the opportunity to make memories I never imagined I would have and to experience a completely different way of life. The hosts were absolutely amazing throughout the entire experience, Freddy and his family go above and beyond.
