I had a great experience volunteering here! The hostel is perfectly located in the center of Split, close to everything you need. The work is mainly basic housekeeping, easy to manage and with a relaxed atmosphere. I had plenty of free time to explore Split and the surroundings. The owners were welcoming, helpful and flexible whenever I needed a schedule change. The best part was definitely the people, I met amazing guests, volunteers and staff and truly felt like part of the team. I'll miss them!

I absolutely loved my experience here. I spent the whole month of June. Aaron is an amazing host, he made me feel so welcome from the beginning and takes great care of his volunteers. The tasks are easy and they explain everything patiently. You'll have no problem learning them. Also the rest of the crew are amazing people, as well as the guests. The place just seems to attract beautiful energies. The working schedule is super fair and I had plenty of time to explore Split & sorroundings. I'll leave the place with amazing memories, many stories to tell and great friendships. Thank you!!

This was one of our favourite volunteer experiences. We felt comfortable and welcomed since the beginning. The tasks are easy and fun and we were given a reasonable amount of responsibility. Everything was explained really well and we never felt uncomfortable asking questions. Apart of the amazing and kind team we met so many great and interesting people. We already miss it and will always remember this great experience.

I volunteered in March/April, so all the activities were just starting for the season. The work was really doable, and the plan for the shifts was created days/weeks before. Split is a great location to explore the islands around and also do day trips to cities on the coast or the mountains, moreover it is also a great place to stay in if you are into the beach and sun. Overall, it was a really great experience, I'd definitely recommend it to you :) Ashley, Aaron, and all the employees, especially Shamil, are super nice as well! Team Linneá & Cornelius totally rocked Empire&the hostel!!

Even though we came in at probably the worst possible time to be in Split(since it was peak off season), this was still a lovely experience. The atmosphere is very chill, work is quite easy and Aaron is a very kind and fun person and you can see the dedication and effort he puts in to make the hostels as great as possible. I could recommend this experience especially if it's your first time volunteering since they are very respectful and helpful people🫶🏻

The team at the hostel was the absolute best! Gita is a book of knowledge, and will enthusiastically answer any questions you have about split or Croatia in general! Aaron and Ashely are dedicated, brilliant and value that you're here to experience the country! Alex and Karla are two local students that work there as well, so easy to talk to and giving great recommendations. Such cool people I will miss them. And Deli is a Queen❤️ Croatia has so much to offer and see and I hope you decide to experience this beautiful country working with such an amazing group of people, I miss you guys🫶

This was such a perfect experience! I met so many amazing people here and made so many memories❤️ the work is really easy especially in low season! Both the permanent staff and the other volunteers were absolutely amazing.
The location of both hostels are right outside the palace walls so you're super close to everything.
I will miss you guys so much and cannot wait to be back❤️
