Program Details
We invite you to experience an authentic coffee-immersion and conservation experience. We are part of an association that advocates for and highlights the work of women coffee farmers, producing Café Miel, a nationally award-winning specialty coffee within our nature reserve.
We are seeking an audiovisual creator and digital strategist who will be the voice of this work to the world. Your main mission will be to design powerful digital campaigns on social media and web platforms to raise visibility for the project, connect with allies, and secure donations or international funding for our social and environmental initiatives.
You will learn firsthand the entire coffee cycle: from harvest on the farm and the drying, to threshing, artisanal roasting, packaging, and distribution. We give you the stories, the cause, and the product; in return, we expect your creativity to turn them into inspiring content that drives fundraising and global recognition of the project.
Activities & Shift
The commitment is 20 hours per week distributed over 5 workdays (4 to 5 hours per day), with 2 days off to rest, take hikes or explore Cundinamarca.
Digital fundraising campaigns: Design the fundraising strategy and international donations outreach, creating persuasive copy, visual targets and calls to action centered on the community and ecological cause.
Creation of audiovisual content: Capture and edit high-quality Reels, TikToks and photographs documenting the lives of the women coffee farmers, the award-winning Café Miel, the reserve trails and biodiversity.
Strategy and social media management: Plan the posting calendar and disseminate the stories on Instagram, Facebook and fundraising platforms aimed at audiences interested in fair trade and conservation.
Immersion on the farm and coffee process: Participate and support punctually in key stages (supervision and care of the coffee during sun drying, packaging or transfer to the town center). This direct experience will feed authentic and credible content.
Rules
Autonomy and commitment: We are looking for proactive people who can propose ideas, structure campaigns, and manage their work time without continuous supervision.
Own equipment: The volunteer must bring their camera, a smartphone with a good camera and a laptop for editing and digital montage tasks.
Community respect and coexistence: We value deep respect for the team of women coffee farmers, the local community and nature. Keep the private room clean and the shared spaces (kitchen and rest areas).
Weekly meetings: Punctually participate in planning meetings to review progress of audiovisual material, metrics on networks and response to fundraising campaigns.
Ownership and credits of the content: The material produced will be used for the institutional diffusion of Café Miel and the nature reserve. You are totally free to use it for your professional portfolio, recognizing your credit as author.
