We love authentic, spontaneous and aesthetic content rather than overly polished promotional material. You'll have plenty of creative freedom to experiment with ideas, discover trends and develop our Instagram presence.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating content, takes initiative and can consistently contribute to our social media.
- Taking aesthetic photographs of the property, rooms, common areas and surroundings.
- Shooting raw video footage for Instagram reels and other social media content.
- Capturing candid moments, hostel activities, guests, food, events and everyday experiences (always respecting guests' privacy and obtaining consent).
-Creating and posting Instagram stories regularly, ideally every day.
-Creating reels, carousels and posts, ideally every other day or more frequently when possible.
-Coming up with creative content ideas, captions, trends and concepts.
-Keeping the Instagram page active and visually consistent.
-Organising and sharing raw photographs and video footage with the team.
This is a relatively flexible and creative position. You'll have the freedom to plan your content creation around the hostel's activities and your own schedule, while ensuring that agreed responsibilities and posting consistency are maintained.
We'll coordinate with you to make sure important events and activities are captured.
Apart from your primary role, we encourage everyone to help keep common areas tidy, flag any cleanliness or maintenance issues and contribute to maintaining a welcoming space.
- Treat it like your home: Please look after the property and help us maintain a clean, hygienic and organised environment. You're not expected to replace our housekeeping team, but we do appreciate everyone pitching in, cleaning up after themselves and flagging anything that needs attention.
-Be respectful: Treat fellow volunteers, guests and the local team with kindness and consideration. Respect everyone's personal space and differences.
-Be proactive: Take initiative, communicate openly and let the team know if something needs attention or if you need help. Honour your agreed working hours and responsibilities. If something comes up, communicate with the team in advance.
