Are you passionate about social media, content creation, surfing and island life? We’re looking for a creative and motivated volunteer to join our little ocean family in Midigama, Sri Lanka!
You’ll have the opportunity to create content for two connected brands:
🌴 Naia Ocean House – our beachfront guesthouse located right by the ocean and some of Midigama's beautiful surf spots.
🏄♀️ OHANA Surf Camp – a small-group surf camp :)
20 hours of help per week
Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.
Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.
Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.
Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.
1 day off per week
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

As our Social Media & Content Creator, you will help us capture and share the everyday life of our ocean house and surf camps.
Your tasks may include:
- Creating photos and videos for Instagram and other social media platforms
- Filming and editing Reels and short-form videos
- Taking photos of the house, guests, surfing and daily life
- Creating engaging Stories and social media content
- Helping us develop creative ideas and bring fresh energy to our online presence
- Occasionally supporting with content planning and scheduling
We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive and has a good eye for photo and video. You don't need to be a professional, but previous experience with content creation and social media is a big plus!
In exchange for your help, you will stay in our beautiful oceanfront house and become part of our little surf family.
