**The Experience**
We are Aldeia Caiçara, a surf lodge with a relaxed atmosphere and a welcoming international community. After building our project in Sagres, we are excited to expand with our new unit in Arrifana, on Portugal's beautiful Costa Vicentina!

Our volunteer program involves helping with the daily operation of the hostel. Depending on the schedule and daily needs, you will rotate between hosting and reception, breakfast service and housekeeping.

We are looking for flexible, responsible and hands-on volunteers who enjoy hospitality and are happy to get involved in different areas of hostel life.
Volunteers will rotate between our different tasks and shifts, depending on the daily schedule and the needs of the hostel.
Activities include:
- Hosting & Reception: Welcoming guests, assisting with check-ins and check-outs, answering questions, helping with guest requests and sharing recommendations about Arrifana and the surrounding area.
- Breakfast Service: Preparing and organizing breakfast, setting up the buffet, helping guests, washing dishes and keeping the breakfast area clean and organized.
- Daily Housekeeping: Cleaning and organizing bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas, changing bed linen after guest check-outs and keeping shared spaces tidy.
- Deep Cleaning & Laundry: Helping with occasional deep-cleaning tasks and laundry whenever necessary.
- General Support: Helping the team with everyday tasks and making sure the hostel runs smoothly.
We provide training days and task checklists to guide you through the routines. Our management team will always be available to supervise the shifts, answer questions and help whenever needed.
Working schedule:
- 5 hours per day.
- 5 days per week.
- 25 hours per week in total.
- 2 days off per week.
Volunteers may rotate between morning and afternoon shifts, so some days you may start earlier and other days later.
