Louise, Abby and Blane were the most interesting little family with such a unique story. I learned so many new skills and got to meet some of the sweetest animals with all their own personalities. I would easily recommend this experience to anyone who hasn't already experienced a Worldpackers yet! I would recommend good waterproof shoes to anyone and to definitely apply !

If you are able to stay with Louise & Abby, do it I can't recommend it enough. I felt very welcomed right from the start, the working schedule consists mostly of taking care of the animals and some gardening in the morning and evening. Which means there is a lot of free time around lunch. The work is also enjoyable since you are mostly outside in the nature with the animals. After a week it already felt like home, never miss dinner, trust me and it's really nice to have a private room. Abby, Louise and Blaine are the kindest people and are always happy to answer questions.

My friend and I had so much fun volunteering with Louise, abby and Blaine! It was such a fun learning experience and we fell in love with all the animals. The tasks were great and the food was amazing!

You are so lucky if you get the chance to work with Louise, Abby, and Blaine. I had the most incredible experience and am leaving Confolens feeling like a new person, so much more knowledgeable about animals, plants, culture, and food. The food is unreal (I didn't know vegetables could taste that good). The town is so special, and the people make it even better. The work is fun and rewarding, and Louise takes her time to explain everything with so much patience that you always feel confident. And the animals… you're beyond lucky to spend time with them. I can't recommend this enough.

I had an unforgettable experience in Confolens.
Louise, Abby and Blaine, I will always be grateful for the hospitality you showed me. It was easy to settle in, and I enjoyed a month of a very pleasant routine, with light and meaningful work, surrounded by fantastic animals in a beautiful town.
The accommodation is excellent, a great room, comfortable and private. Schedules are respected, and Louise and Abby are excellent cooks, so don't miss dinner, in addition to good food, there is always good conversation, card games or some TV programmes.

Where to even start… this was my first worldpackers experience and i truly couldn't have asked for a better one. the work was rewarding and fun with very clear hours and instructions on things! i loved being with all of the amazing animals and each had their own hysterical personalities which i really enjoyed getting to know. the town itself is a perfect place to explore and also relax, especially if it's a sunny day. louise, abby, and blaine are all so kind and welcoming and i already miss all of them. you will not regret this experience - it's all too perfect to pass up. i would 100% return

My stay in Confolens was really beautiful. The small town has a lot to offer and I really enjoyed spending my time there. All the animals are so cute and I loved working with them. Louise, Abby and Blaine are really nice and openminded people and I enjoyed talking to them. Unfortunately I was the only volunteer in my first week and that made everything a bit more difficult for me. Overall, I would recommend this experience to everyone who wants to learn about animals and live in another family.

Based on many 5star reviews,I had high expectations,but my experience felt different.The family was friendly;however, the exchange felt less focused on the Worldpackers’ experience and was not very social.Working hours felt closely monitored,f.e. time taken for a birthday lunch with the host had to be made up, while other extra time was not counted. We were also expected to do the dishes nearly every night outside working hours no explanation why. I found it difficult to discuss concerns on equal footing. ++ were: lovely animals, good food, and nice location.Sadly,I wouldn't stay there again

My stay with Louis, Abby and Blain couldn’t have been better! They are such lovely and warm people, it was so nice to stay in their beautiful home for a month. I really enjoyed being close to nature and working with the animals, it was very rewarding and you learn so many things while you’re working. Every day we were served an amazing meal, the food was truly wonderful! I cherish this experience and recommend everyone to apply!😊
