My stay in Arusha was incredible! James and Linda are such wonderful people, they made my entire stay so relaxing and enjoyable What's more is the organisation, the project, is so special, you really feel as though you're making a positive impact in the community. the project is such a beautiful country and the locals all around you are so incredibly kind and welcoming Everything from the people, the food, the landscapes, the activities - it was all perfect and so memorable I loved my time here and I would love to visit James and this organisation again in the future!

James and his family were very welcoming and I felt right at home. Linda is an excellent cook! The accommodation was very nice and comfortable. Sometimes the electricity was spotty, but it was never a serious issue. I just worked on the farm the whole time, but had opportunities to visit the school and do other things. The farm is so peaceful and near the base of Mt Meru. Over the weekend, James arranged a guided day hike for me to see the waterfalls at Meru, which was great. I was the only volunteer at the time, so it was a bit quiet.

I stayed with James for a month for the construction project. During my stay, I had to raise funds to finance part of the project. Once the funds were raised, I worked alongside the workers and the site manager in the mornings. James is an exceptional host, very welcoming and always available. The accommodation is simple but functional, and the delicious meals were a great way to learn more about life in the project.

I had really an amazing time during this volunteering. James and his family are very welcoming and the meals spent together are a real way to understand better how Tanzanian people live (both thanks to the food and to the chats). Regarding the volunteering: I spent my morning in the primary school and the afternoon in the library with the kids. Both activities were great to spend time with the kids and trying to teach them something about the world.
The accommodation is well maintained and welcoming.

Thank you James for the amazing experience, see you soon!

My two weeks volunteering in Arusha were truly amazing. James and his family make sure that volunteers feel safe, comfortable, and supported.
Spending time at the school with the children, while sharing love, care, and joy was an unforgettable experience. Every day was filled with learning, laughter and gratitude. The afternoon in the library with the local kids were also very special. It was amazing to connect with them and share time together.
I highly recommend this volunteering program to anyone who wants to connect with the local communities and experience something meaningful.

I spent one month volunteering in this program and it was a really great experience. Everything was well organized and the team made us feel welcome from the beginning.
The coordinators were friendly and always available if we needed help or had questions. They made sure everyone felt comfortable with the work and that things ran smoothly.
The volunteering itself was very rewarding. It was nice to be able to help and also learn more about the local community and culture. I also met amazing people from different countries, which made the experience even better.

We stayed at James' place for one week. We had great time in the farm. We felt very welcomed and integrated into the family. It was lovely to spend time with the local children at the end of the day. The food was amazing as well. We really recommend staying here.

I had a wonderful stay in Arusha. James was really supportive and helpful whenever we needed it, while still giving us plenty of freedom. He has built an amazing place for volunteers and the local kids, and I feel like we truly got to know the local community.

I had an amazing time here in Arusha! This experience allowed me to get to know the kids at the school and the kids who come to the library. I loved working here and the host James was amazing! He helped me book excursions such as a safari over the weekend and visiting Kilimanjaro region for the waterfall, hot spring, and coffee tour. I am sad to leave but excited to maybe return again one day! It was my first worldpackers experience and I'm glad it was!
