The experience

We are a newly renovated but well-known hostel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur with years of history in the Bukit Bintang district. In late 2023 reopened for business and need at least one helper straight away to help rebuild the hospitality and atmosphere that Dorms KL once had.

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 21 and 80 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside Malaysia

Program Details

Hello volunteers! There are currently two roles at Dorms KL: the reception role and cleaning role. 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲!

Activities & Shift

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: Greeting people to hostel, check in/out of reservations, posting payment, managing reservations, planning of room allocation, showing guests their beds and facilities. Please also note that in case of emergency, we may require you to work extra hours
