We had such a great time in the project. The place is in the middle of a desert, it's the perfect to reconnect with nature and learn a lot about living in communities. We also could build house using bio construction, very interesting!
Santi and Lili are very nice hosts and amazing to learn more about Peruvian culture. I really recommend this place and volunteering.

Incredible. My time at the project was amazing, the tasks, people, environment and vibes are all very good. There the day usually starts at 8am with break fast. After that we did a seassion of stretching before starting the work. The tasks vary almost everyday based on the needs, they range from helping in the garden, helping with bioconstrucrion, general maintanace and repairing stuff. You get to choose what to do. Worth noting that they recieve a lot of volunteers :) Another highlight is Santi, he is such a good a kind person, I learned a lot from him. Thank tou for everything my friend!

Had a good time at the project! The days are very calm and usually consist of 3h of work, then lunch and free time. The work is different, and usually not very hard. Sometimes I would have liked more hands on instructions and more tools for the work, but usually you can figure It out together. It was a great community with all of the other volonteers and fun to meet people from around the world. It's located a bit far from the town so you mostly just stay there for the free time, but if you need to go into town for errands, Santi is super helpful and will take you.

Our volunteering experience was fun and chill. We learned a lot about living in a community and there was access to a lot of tasty food. It was very cosy to cook and eat together with the other volunteers and we got a lot of free time to enjoy the beautiful views, the pool and play games. Although it sometimes felt a bit isolating because it's hard to get to La Joya by yourself, Santiago went into town regularly so it is possible to get a ride. The work was pretty chill and flexible but sometimes the instructions were a bit unclear. Besides this it was a great experience. Thank you⭐️

Lilly and Santi have been great hosts and try to make you as comfortable as possible. I really liked the stay over there and would recommend it to everyone who wants to slow down and take a little break from traveling to relax a little bit. There is not much around so your activities after work are limited but as said, a perfect place to calm down.

For us it was our first volunteering experience and we loved it. It was a lovely community, we ate good food and also the work was fun and not too much. It's a good place to recover and get away from the city life. Santi and Lily really cared for everybody and that you feel comfortable.

We had an amazing experience at the project, Santi felt more like a friend than a host. All the other volunteers we met were also amazing and we made friends for life. The place is extremely cosy and beautiful and we learned very valuable things such as cooking for many people, building with superadobe and other social leasons. We would 100% come back sometime :)

The project, the environment, and the atmosphere are truly something unique and beautiful. You can always choose the tasks you want to do each day, which gives a great sense of freedom and variety - and helps you gain diverse experience. The working hours are also really good. I especially loved working on the bio-construction! If you are looking to escape the noise of the city, to have a rural and peaceful experience in nature (along with limited wifi), gain experience in sustainable living and permaculture - this place is perfect for you. I genuinely enjoyed my time here!
