I absolutely recommend this place! The staff is super nice, welcoming and happy to meet people. The work is easy and usually finished between 3-4 hours. Although there is not too much to do in the area, you won't get bored because you have the hostel san always in sight! Can't think of anything better than that. My personal recommendation is walking around the hostel five lakes. They're all super pretty! My only downside here would be that there are no curtains on the beds so you don't have much privacy but you'll get used to it quickly!

I felt very welcome from the first moment; all the staff are very kind and sociable. They really care about whether you're comfortable or if you need help. I enjoyed every moment at the hostel.

IWhat i really liked here : - The staff is super nice and friendly, we really share some great times together. - No surprises, everything is as listed in the description. - the area is really pretty and easy to explore. But something that i felt wasn't really said by others : the accommodation/workload deal is a bit weak. I was in a 9 persons (only guests) mix bedroom (mostly men) without curtains so no privacy and different schedules to wake up or go to sleep, it was difficult. Another thing is the shift is from 11am to 3pm, which doesn't leave a lot of time around to go out.

We had an amazing month in the hostel. We were welcomed nicely by our co-workers, and the vibe at the hostel is very laidback, social, and easy. We met many nice people during our stay. The nearby nature with the hostel and the lakes is absolutely stunning. Work hours were 3-4 hours a day, work consisted of cleaning public toilets and bathrooms, and after that little tasks. Sometimes we had a nice tea party after. We slept on the shared dorms with guests. On addition they have very good kitchen utilities offering all the basics, and we also got a little food support weekly.

We had an amazing month at the hostel Mount the hostel exploring the beautiful area and meeting other travelers. The hostel has cozy common areas and nice big kitchen. The other volunteers and staff were lovely. You'll work max 4 hours a day. The work is mostly cleaning toilets and showers and the common areas. They are quite precise about the cleaning but everything is taught well. The beds are comfy and you'll be sharing a mixed dorm with other guests. We hope to visit this place again❤️

I spent a month a the hostel Mount the hostel and I had an incredible time. It was my first worldpackers experience and it was such an enjoyable one. The staff here were kind and welcoming. The other volunteers at the time were also super nice and great to be around. The guests too. It was a pretty warm and friendly vibe to be honest. The work was as agreed upon with hours being fair and rostered. Work is split between the Mount the hostel branch and the hostel branch but this is communicated beforehand. It was easygoing and not overly stressful at all. Recommend!

I spent a month here and it was a very interesting and rewarding experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is easy and comfortable to live in, and I had a lot of fun during my stay. I met many kind and interesting people from all over the world, and the staff was always super nice and helpful. The work itself is simple and well-organized, but it does require dedication and attention to detail. That said, the tasks are clear and the team is supportive, so everything runs smoothly. Highly recommend!

I had a really great time at the hostel Mt. the hostel! Most of the staff are absolutely lovely and super welcoming, and I was sad to leave everyone! There was a small difference in terms of the tasks assigned vs the tasks they mention in the ad but when it was brought up the staff were super receptive and resolved to correct the discrepancies. They have two hostels and helpers will work at both during their time there. I stayed at Mt. the hostel and it was a really gorgeous place close to the lake with comfy beds and a huge kitchen!

In general my experience was amazing, I was well treated and respected by everybody, staff members, volunteers and guests, so I leave a bit of my heart in this place! The hostel is cozy and the kotatsu is the best place in the world!! I feel the main thing that could be bettered would be the management and communication, this because the teams of staff can change daily, and this creates different types of leadership. Sometimes you finish early, sometimes at 15pm, independently of the tasks being done or not, the schedule might be important to fulfill. It was a good experience and loved it 🙏
