The Experience

Our hostel in Big Bear Lake, California, is seeking an enthusiastic host to join our team and help create the ultimate stays for our guests. You start with housekeeping which is 6 4-hour shifts per week and then get trained on reception as needed. We ask for 25 hours/week in exchange for a comfortable bed, breakfast and dinner supplies.

Volunteering with the hostel was a unique experience that I will always hold close to my heart. Nathan and Jackie are the best managers and I adore them!!! We spent very little time in the hostel and were working between 3 different locations, but I wouldn't change the experience for anything. Mucho mucho amor <3

Absolutely loved it here. Felt so welcomed the second I stepped foot through the door. Every second here will forever be cherished. Between the staff, guests at the hostel, the town itself. Gonna miss it here ❤️

This was a life changing experience, getting out of my confort zone, trying new things and learning about a really collaborative experience. Everyone in the team is amazing and open, the other volunteers were great and I found a great place to practice my skills and change for the better in many ways. Forever greatfull

This was my first volunteer program and I can say that it was amazing. I enjoyed most of the time. Since I arrived, I feel comfortable with everyone over there. I recommend this volunteering if you want to be out of the city and enjoy the nature that is around the hostel
