Samata Shiksha Niketan or The Bamboo School Project builds schools made with bamboo, a readily available, inexpensive, portable material and corrugated iron roofs. Objective: To provide a quality education for a low fee to underprivileged children in Nepal. Samata school at Bhaktaur is looking for volunteers to teach English grammar, conversation classes and help out taking part at activities and events. With 900 students ranging from 4 to 18.
20 hours of help per week
Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports: Teach or help guests or local communities practice a new sport.
Teaching Languages: Teach a language to guests or local communities.
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
