I can't say enough good things about my experience at the guest house. This place was an absolute gem where you can immerse yourself in amazing Irish nature and culture. Although I had to leave early due to illness, I loved my stay in the guest house. At first, it was a bit of challenge dealing with limited ingredients in kitchen, it's a perfect spot for vegetarians as Annie cooks a variety of healthy meals using fresh ingredients from garden. I highly recommend here to anyone seeking authentic Irish culture, especially musicians and artists since there are dance and music sessions held regularly.

The guest house B&B was a really lovely place to volunteer. I felt welcomed from the start and comfortable throughout my stay. Annie and Pete create a warm cultural space with music sessions and genuine hospitality. However, the living conditions are challenging: the house remains mostly unheated even in January (3°C outside), extensive mold on walls, water from old lead pipes, and food hygiene follows very flexible standards (I was offered chocolate from 2013, moldy food not discarded).
I became ill during my stay. Come only if you're extremely robust, bring warm clothing, your own cleaning supplies, and have a strong immune system. The cultural vision is admirable, but basic infrastructure needs urgent investment.

Very welcoming place and alwesome peoples, always carying for the volunteers and the lunch always in group so the host can see how everybody is feeling and developing. Everything you need for the job you can find there, or they will buy if something is needed so you can work with better confort. Besides the kindness, it's a warm place, people are always playing some instrument or dancing, a happy place for real!!

To start with, the host are amazing. Both Pete and Annie will make you feel part of their house. Whatever your needs are, just let them know. Be open to their activities and to a nice swim whenever is possible. If you play an instrument, you will enjoy the place at its best. If not, don't miss the chance. It's a great place to enjoy, relax, read, immerse yourself in the local culture, go for little hikes, dance and play as much music as you'd like. Everyone comes back, guess why!!
