Dear Fernanda
I am surprised and saddened by the negativity your review conveys. During the days we shared here you did not show yourself in this way toward us. I understand it must have been due to a matter of shyness, cowardice, or hypocrisy.
The space that was offered to you for your rest was clean. I am sure of it. Your bites occurred after being in contact with goats and sheep in the barn or moving their manure. Obviously you had an allergic reaction. None of the other 4 volunteers who were there at the time nor we had anything like it. Maybe because you didn't want to bother, you didn't communicate quickly enough how bad you felt and scratching only makes it worse. We always ask all volunteers to change clothes before using the rest spaces. I don't know if you did. I am not one to look for culprits. I am the first to be interested in keeping the facilities I offer to those who come clean and in the best possible condition within my means. A good rest is basic.
From the moment you expressed your great discomfort and unease I have shown great empathy toward your state and put all means at my disposal to solve the situation. I moved you to a different place just in case, I gave you clean clothes to wear and bed linens, I offered that you shower as many times as you needed, I offered to take your clothes to the laundry, I gave you calendula cream and when you decided you preferred to leave I felt bad because I counted on your cooperation and you seemed to me someone competent. I only stated it, but I respected your decision evidently. Even so you stayed 4 or 5 more days by your own will, since you were offered to accompany you to the bus on the day you had a small nervous-emotional outburst as a result of the discomfort you felt physically. I do not reproach you. I understand it. After having agreed that you would leave earlier than planned and everyone was fine with it, it seemed you felt somewhat better and more relaxed. There were no bad feelings. You dedicated yourself to cooking since you said you liked it and we spent evenings chatting by the fire. We accompanied you to the bus and had a drink together to say goodbye... I understand that the situation didn't flow as we would all have wished but trying to resolve, improvise and adapt to the unforeseen along the way is not something that is done to move forward and grow? IN A POSITIVE WAY.
I will mention in my profile that I live in a place where there can be spiders, ticks, fleas, bees, mosquitoes, snakes... and other such bugs so that those who are sensitive to bites or with allergic tendencies come prepared or tell me so as not to expose them to activities that could harm them... Or simply not come.
Now you Fernanda know that you are allergic to these unwanted bugs. But I am not one of them. Much love and
Safe travels!!!
